Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming a pop icon that will be around forever, and will conquer all of the world. Swift removed herself from country music as if she was a second skin and proved that she had the best pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only musician/singer to be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it on the road. Swift's talents were apparent in some of the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless released in 2008 Swift could identify who she is and find a wide audience. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story and the hit song You Belong with Me were the primary reasons behind this. It also performed very well across the globe. Swift's new album, Speak Now, released nearly two years following the first one, consolidated the success of this album. It propelled Swift to superstardom. Swift's popularity grew through her three subsequent albums - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in an industry she felt was hers to be. She was in the forefront of pop even after she changed her style with her sibling albums, folklore and Evermore in 2020.
