April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States is part of a select category of females who have had medals won in more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman, playing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics is hoping to secure her third gold medal. Ross's dream is to earn her first Olympic Gold. As she is 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her last chance. She is still confident, however. Ross on NBC Boston, said that when the team performs well or at all they can earn a gold. Therefore, I'm hoping to have a little bit of luck too. Ross born in 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began competing in athletics at the Newport Harbor High School. Ross played in numerous sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. While a prep student, she competed in indoor volleyball along with basketball and running track. However, she was a standout at this level. In her high school volleyball career, according to her college biography she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. Her achievements were rewarded by her being named 1999 Gatorade's Circle of Champions National players of the year. Her skills in volleyball won her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman might have begun working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established player at the beach before they joined forces. She has won numerous events, one of which was with the legendary player of volleyball. Jennifer Kessy was her partner for six years, from 2007 to 2013. She also worked with Klineman and herself. Together with Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. The duo would go into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. They were defeated for the gold medal by the legendary duo comprised of Misty May-Treanor as well as Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor after she had retired. Together, they won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in 2016. Following high school, and for a few many years before hitting the sand professionally, Ross balled out to the Trojans at USC while an NCAA. The time she spent at USC was one to remember. Her freshman year in 2000 was when she won the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year awards and be an All-American. The Trojans were also able to get to the Final Four with her help. The Trojans suffered a significant personal defeat in her sophomore year yet was successful in achieving the All-American title. During her final two seasons in the Trojans' program the team was led to success by winning two the national title in consecutive years. Ross was an excellent volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross was a student of the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the opportunity to see her daughter become a beach volleyball superstar. Ross suffered the loss of her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. However, she keeps her mother in her heart. Margie, on the beach as well as in everyday life, inspires her.
