Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. Her childhood was filled with dreams of great heights. Her greatest roles are the spy action film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic thriller Precious. She was born into a middle-class household in Los Angeles, she harboured big dreams as a child. The mother of her children was fond of watching movies and instilled a passion for films in the young girl and also. Paula was active in the co-curricular activities of her school and was particularly drawn to drama. She loved performing in stage productions with her friends. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous chances to perform during her high school years and she picked acting for a profession. She was enrolled in The University of Southern California's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. She was given a three month project to create documentary films for PBS. Her first job was as an assistant to production for TV documentaries, after completing her task. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. Even though she loved her work, she yearned for being an actor. Her career in acting started with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she's appeared in numerous films and television shows.
