Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending rehearsals for performances as a kid and observing her mother doing her job. When she was a girl, she appeared in a variety of commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna relocated to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually moving to Los Angeles, California, within the next decade.
