StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her most famous role was Miss Bala (2011), an Mexican crime-drama film. She went on to be seen in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) as well as Annabelle: Creation (2017). On television, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born to a Mexican mom and an American father, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. Through her father Sigman, she is legally a U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] The father of her, professional baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career in Mexican television before she made her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. The film was picked for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it was not on the shortlist. [9] Sigman was awarded a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her performance as film critic in 2011.
