Laura Vandervoort
In 1997, she had her acting debut when she was thirteen. Her acting debut came at age 13 in 1997. In 1997, after taking classes in the field and working as a back-up actor on Canadian series such as Road to Avonlea, Harriet the Spy and Goosebumps, she was given a speaking part in the Canadian horror program Are You Afraid Of The Dark? and Goosebumps. A variety of other TV appearances, such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation led Vandervoort to be cast as Clark Kent's Kryptonian counterpart "Kara Kent" (the woman destined to later become Supergirl) in The CW Serial Drama Smallville. The season 7 episode was the first time she was a series regular. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" episode, which was the eighth season episode. She returned to Smallville for two more episodes during the final season that was her 10th season. 4. Following The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort filmed the sequel in the feature film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film. The film also featured Canadian stars Michael Ironside and Corey Sevier.
