Seasons 1-8 are when shippers place bids for two shipments through the uShip platform using a reverse auction model. Bids are typically made with comments about the likely risk and costs in addition to the motivations and skills. If the deadline is reached for an auction then the job will be given to the bidder who has the lowest bid. It is at the discretion of the client however, the job could be given to a bidder with an average rating of higher over previous customers. Feedback ratings can be used to break connections between the bidders with the lowest price. Season 9 sees shippers receiving their cargo from a shipping company. Bidding isn't depicted. Shippers load their cargos and try to deliver the cargo in good in good condition by the time specified by the buyer or the receiver. Feedback ratings from clients appear after the goods have been delivered. The program concludes with the revenue of each shipper and expenses. To determine the profits or loss the bid amount is subtracted. Sometimes, shippers will offer to transport additional loads during the same trip. The additional money will be added to the total. The shipper may not be able to complete the job due to safety concerns or the size of the load. The shipper could hire another person to assist in an assignment. Once the job is done and the shippers have decided how they will split the proceeds. The progression of each shipment can be interrupted by humorous criticisms from other shippers during seasons 1-8.
